Ok, so it's not cool like a new cat or dog, but I now have a female beta fish named, "Hermione". I have had a few recent dreams when I'm gone and I forget to feed this imaginary fish of mine. I've been thinking of getting one for a splash of color as they do add a pop of color to any room. As mentioned (I think) I had bought Ethan a bunch of his favorite peanut butter bones at PetSmart and went back today to buy more. For $1.17 each you can't pass them up considering they're $4.99 regularly! While there they had this cute beta tank kit which included a cover, lamp, pump, and a few samples of stuff.
My fish is sorta reddish. Being the dork that I am, I thought the kit included gravel, plants, and a decoration but I didn't see the fine print that said, "suggested additions". D'oh! So I got home, fed my fish, set up the tank (which is when I realized the kit came with NOTHING), and headed back out to get gravel, plants, food/treats, thermometer, heater, water conditioning, etc.,
I forgot how expensive a fish tank can be!! I spent like $65 on the tank and $2.50 on the fish! haha
The cats don't seem to care about the tank which is great. The cover is designed so they can't put their pesky paw inside.
Today is the New Year, and as always I don't make resolutions that I will break. A friend mentioned this in a post and it's so true!! At the gym today it was like "tourist season". Tons of people with their loosing weight resolutions. I'm all for them, but after a couple months, the majority I won't see again.
