I started collecting designer handbags around 2005. It all started when I fell in love with the red Luella handbag that Reese Witherspoon was totting around. The day I purchased that at Neiman Marcus, I also bought my first Louis Vuitton, a Speedy 25 in the Monogram print. In retrospect I should have bought the 30.
Fast forward to late 2012 I got rid of a lot of handbags. From 2005-2012 I had too many handbags that I didn't really like or used much. I admit, it was an obsession but now I'm going to collect handbags that I really want. I sold over 7 Harvey Seatbelt bags which are quirky as they're made from real seatbelts, over 7 Coach purses and a wallet, and 4 Louis Vuitton bags not including LV accessories.
I sold my Speedy 25 in Monogram print as the size was too small for me, the Multicolor Speedy 30 in Monogram print (which I loved) as there was some red color transfer on the outside pocket which I believe was from the interior as I don't wear red much, the Speedy 30 in the Damier Ebene print, and this one purse which is no longer available. I forget what it was called but Angelina Jolie was totting it around and it's similar to the Totally (minus the outside pockets) but the lower sides and bottom had the Vachetta leather. For the Louis Vuitton accessories I sold the Multicolor Porte Tresor wallet, a Monogram wallet similar to the Alexandra wallet, and the Monogram keypouch.
This month I decided I needed to fix the lack of LV in my collection and bought the Neverfull MM in the Damier Ebene print and the Speedy 30 (again) in the Damier Ebene print (not the B version). Oh how I missed them!! I'm in love with the Neverfull design and will eventually get it in the Monogram print and Damier Azur print. Today I received some great purse organizers I saw on the purse blog from the Purse Bling. I'll post those pictures soon and once I'm settled into my new place I'll take pictures of my designer handbag collection :)
