So the first four days of my new job went well! A lot of new legal information to learn since I know nothing about Intellectual Property. My first day went well. For lunch Human Resources took me and 4 co-workers out for lunch so we could get to know one another a bit. How nice was that?!
Thursday was national doughnut day so the Receptionist brought in tons of Dunkin Donuts! My pink frosted sprinkle one was delish!
I have insurance starting day one which was a surprise since most have a 60-90 day waiting period. I've already learned so many new things, have been doing portal requests, etc., So far it's quite interesting.
The parking garage is never busy and it's easy to leave work without congestion (commute is a different story).
After I eat my lunch, I notice people walking around with grocery bags from Whole Foods. So Thursday I walked around the cauld-a-sac like area, and to my right I saw a shopping center!! I should have figured that as when I turn into the parking garage area it looked like shopping but I just figured it was restaurants. Well, that part is true, along with clothing stores like "The Loft" and I happened to check out an Ophthalmologist. I wanted a pair of metal aviator Rayban sunnies but finding polarized ones can be tricky. The store didn't carry Raybans but they had Maui Jim's!! I bought the Beach Baby ones (maybe Baby Beach) and I loveeee them!!! Smaller and less bulky than Raybans and perfect for my trip tomorrow!!
Shopping on ones lunch can be dangerous :) I leave for 10 days to MN and Friday the 20th I return to work for casual Friday. Can't wait!
The girl who was training me got promoted to Legal Assistant so now I'll be trained by A guy who's been there for 2 years. The only other female other than me has been in my department for 3 weeks but with the company for many years. The other guy (forgot his name) has been there for 3 months so poor J. will be busy training us! While I'm gone they're going to be busy!!
Oh... I was bad and bought the new Clemence wallet in Fuchsia... Bag Ban is back on lol! Love the wallet and she will be coming with me on my vacation :) Below is a size comparison to my Zippy MC/Litchi. Also me in my new sunnies (excuse the no makeup, didn't fix my fly away hair).
