I totally forgot last Saturday I had another 5k race!! It was at 7:30 in the morning and we walked through the Air and Space Museum hanger to get to Dulles Airport's runway. The top finishers won a pair of free continental airfare and hotel stay. I think the top times were 17-18 minutes? I forgot my time but I know I was faster than half the women and there were over 700. The total number of runners was 2500 and the race raised over a quarter million dollars for the Special Olympics. I also got a finisher medal :)
My next 5k is the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. My trainer wants to do a 5k together which would be fun but she runs a 5k between 20-25 minutes. Maybe she can push me to be under 30 minutes?
