I sold my black Prada Vitello Daino drawstring purse as I didn't use it much. I bought it in 2007 and I've read that Prada bags are now made in... China?!?! Mine was Italy. I'm sorry but it's like buying Hermes, made in China. You wouldn't buy it!! Terrible!! It's bad enough that some LV's are made in the USA with those God awful cloth tags. My Speedy 30 DE and all three NF's fall in the USA category... Not thrilled, but good luck finding them made in France; few and far... I heard Chanel Jumbo's are all made in Italy, not France? Meh...
Anyway, my prada, 7 years later still had a strong leather smell. I probably used her 10x. Loved her but now that I have my three Chanel black classic bags, there's no need to have any other brand. I also gave my mom my cream Marc Jacobs bag from 2007. I forgot the style. I would have sold it but where the handles meet (like LV glazing) there were small leather cracks. That's typical of leather I suppose but I didn't want to deal with any issues. Plus my mom now has a designer bag lol. So now I only have Chanel, LV, one Gucci and my red Luella bag in my collection and one black Coach wallet/checkbook. Sticking with timeless classics!
I will only buy LV and Chanel as they hold their value. Gucci, Prada, Celine, etc., don't.
Friday I have happy hour with my co workers and today I made pumpkin bars for our fall potluck. It went well! The lawyers sure did finish my bars off as there was only 1/3 eaten when most of us finished lunch! Friday I'm also expecting a delivery from Neiman Marcus, can't wait!!
